We are seeking an experienced and strategic Manager, Assessments, Examinations and Graduations to lead the delivery of high-quality assessment, results, examination and graduation services that enhance the student experience and support student success.

  • Full time opportunity | 36.25 hours per week
  • Located at Townsville’s Bebegu Yumba campus
  • HEWL 9: $130,115 - $137,625 plus up to 17% employer superannuation contributions, leave loading and other generous employee benefits

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Manager, Assessments, Examinations and Graduations provide strategic leadership across assessment, results, examinations and graduation services, ensuring the effective delivery of responsive, student-centred support. The role contributes to university-wide projects, policy development, legislative compliance and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen service quality and support positive student outcomes.

As a key member of the Student Services and Support leadership team, the position provides high-level strategic, policy and operational advice to senior management, while leading a high-performing team and fostering strong relationships across the University and with external sector networks.

WHAT YOU CAN BRING TO THE ROLE

Success in this role requires extensive leadership experience within a complex service environment, coupled with the strategic capability to drive operational excellence, continuous improvement and high-quality service outcomes.

The ideal candidate will bring significant experience in assessment administration, examinations, student progression and graduation services, with the ability to provide informed strategic advice, lead change initiatives and ensure compliance within a dynamic regulatory environment. A collaborative and influential leadership style, supported by exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, will enable the development of productive partnerships across the University and with external organisations to achieve shared objectives.

Experience in policy development, governance, business process improvement and systems enhancement will be highly regarded, along with the ability to translate strategic priorities into practical and sustainable outcomes.
