We now have an exciting opportunity for a Student Placement Assistant to join our WIL, Placements and Accommodation Team.

  • Full-time, fixed-term to 30 June 2027 | 36.25hrs per week
  • Located at the Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus
  • HEWL 4: $72,701 – $77,229 plus up to 17% employer superannuation contributions, leave loading and other generous employee benefits 

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the first point of contact for queries, you will support students and staff in the delivery of student placement outcomes and successful execution of agreements, ensuring customer expectations are met and tasks are completed to a high-quality standard. Accountabilities include but are not limited to:

  • Acting as a first point of contact for student placement enquiries from students and staff within the Academy and external stakeholders, ensuring all interactions are positive, customer centric and deliver successful student placement experiences.
  • Providing high-quality and accurate pre-placement administrative services to staff, students, and placement partners, ensuring the service provisions are informed, professional, and in line with relevant University processes.
  • Supporting successful student placement outcomes by coordinating and processing student pre-placement paperwork.
  • Ensuring record keeping compliance is maintained by monitoring, documenting, and reporting student placement activity in the University-wide student placement databases.

WHAT YOU CAN BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Effective written and oral communication skills including interpersonal skills, to deliver a customer centric service with positive outcomes.
  • Routine organisational and time management skills with ability to use informed judgement to prioritise and meet competing deadlines.
  • Effective computer and data entry skills using the Microsoft Office suite and other specialist student and learning related software.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member in a high-volume environment.
