The Administrative Assistant provides advanced administrative support, and project coordination to enable efficient delivery of strategic and operational activities within the Margaret Roderick Centre for Mental Health Research (MRCMHR). Operating with a level of autonomy and judgement, the role supports senior staff, manages workflow and stakeholder relationships, and contributes to administrative improvements that enhance team effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional administrative support aligned with University processes
  • Prepare accurate correspondence, documents, data entry and maintain systems.
  • Coordinate workflow, scheduling, meetings and diary management.
  • Provide timely communication and stakeholder support.
  • Contribute to continuous service and process improvements.

What You Will Bring

  • Qualifications/experience aligned with HEWL 4 and the JCU Enterprise Agreement.
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft applications and databases
  • Proven customer service skills and ability to manage high enquiry volumes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage tasks and projects with limited direction.
