James Cook University (JCU) is seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Educator, Psychology to join the Murtupuni Centre for Rural and Remote Health (MCRRH). In this part-time, remote role, you’ll deliver the Psychology and Allied Health Supervisor Training Program (STP)—a nationally recognised, interprofessional training program approved by the Psychology Board of Australia.

About the Role

As Clinical Educator, you’ll contribute to curriculum development, deliver virtual workshops, assess training outcomes, and help build supervision capacity for psychologists and allied health professionals across outback Australia. You may also have the opportunity to contribute to rural health policy and support broader health services education.

What you’ll bring:

  • General registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and approval as a PsyBA supervisor
  • At least 5 years' experience as a Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor
  • Confidence in delivering training and assessments remotely
  • Strong interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills
  • A commitment to equity, diversity, reconciliation, and the needs of rural and remote communities

 Desirable:

  • Experience in health professional education or rural generalist practice
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration experience
  • Understanding of the challenges facing provisional psychologists in rural and remote areas
