We now have an exciting opportunity for a Data and Gift Officer to join our team in the Advancement Directorate.

  • Full-time, continuing position
  • Based at the Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus, Douglas
  • HEWL 5: $78,740 - $89,310 per annum plus up to 17% employer superannuation contributions, leave loading and other generous employee benefits.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Advancement Data and Gift Officer, you will support the University’s philanthropic and alumni engagement activities by ensuring gifts and donations are processed accurately, receipted in a timely manner, and managed in line with relevant policies and legislation. You will play a key role in maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of donor, alumni, and financial data across Advancement and Finance systems, while responding to enquiries and resolving data and transaction issues with sound judgement.

Working in a collaborative and client-focused environment, you will also contribute to the continuous improvement of systems and processes, supporting enhancements that strengthen efficiency, accuracy, and overall service delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional with experience managing financial transactions and maintaining high-quality records within complex systems. You will bring strong problem-solving and communication skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, and a commitment to delivering excellent service. Experience in the tertiary education sector or within Advancement, alumni engagement, or philanthropy will be highly regarded.
