We’re excited to welcome new Ambassadors across our Cairns Nguma-bada, Townsville Bebegu Yumba and Mackay Ngudya Yamba campuses, with multiple casual opportunities commencing from January 2026.

Contract Type: Casual
Locations: Cairns, Townsville & Mackay
Commencement: 1st January 2026
Hourly Rate (from 1 Jan 2026): $37.27 – $38.87

As a JCU Student Ambassador, you will play a key role in showcasing university life, offering guidance and inspiration to those considering further study. You’ll contribute to a variety of student engagement and community outreach activities across the region.
- In this role, you will build practical skills in marketing, communications and event support, while developing confidence in public speaking, teamwork, and leadership.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

– Currently studying a degree at JCU OR commencing in 2026
– Confident representing and promoting JCU in a positive and professional manner
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with great attention to detail

Additional Requirements

– Current Working with Children Suitability Card (Blue Card)
– Current QLD “C” Class Driver’s Licence
– Flexibility to work outside standard business hours (up to 36.25 hours per week)
