We're looking for a detail-oriented finance administration professional to join our Student Services team on a fixed-term basis until 2 March 2028. In this varied role, you'll administer student finance processes, scholarships, bursaries and grants, and maintain compliance with legislation and policy requirements.
- Full-time fixed-term opportunity | 36.25 hours per week
- Based at the Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus
- HEWL 5: $78,740.99 - $89,310.33 per annum plus up to 17% superannuation
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Student Finance Officer, you’ll support the delivery of student finances, and scholarships, bursaries and grants across the University. Working within established legislation, policies and procedures, you'll help ensure financial activities are delivered accurately, efficiently and on time.
Working as part of a collaborative Student Services team, you’ll look for practical ways to improve processes and service quality, helping achieve positive outcomes for students and other stakeholders.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
You’ll bring experience in financial administration and the confidence to work through enquiries using sound judgement, initiative and established guidelines. You understand the importance of accuracy and compliance, while still keeping the student experience at the centre of your work.
Your approachable communication style will help you build effective relationships and respond sensitively to staff and students. You’ll also be comfortable working with Microsoft Office, data-entry systems and specialist student or learning software.
