As a teaching-specialist academic role within JCU Veterinary Sciences (Townsville), you would be providing hands-on clinical instruction to undergraduate veterinary students across a broad range of clinical skills, with a particular emphasis on anaesthesia and analgesia and equine medicine.

 

About the role 

The Lecturer in Veterinary Clinical Skills will be a key member of the veterinary clinical team, providing instruction to undergraduate veterinary students in a range of clinical skills including anaesthesia and analgesia, and core competencies relevant to production animals, companion animals and equine practice.

This role combines teaching and clinical practice, engagement with our contracted practices and various stakeholders and supports the delivery of safe and effective anaesthesia protocols in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital and in student practical classes.

The role will involve educating students, mentoring junior staff, and advancing the clinical and educational aspects of veterinary clinical skills. The position holder will contribute to the development of innovative teaching practices.
