We’re looking for a practical, organised and safety-focused Laboratory and Technical Support Assistant to help deliver high-quality teaching support for nursing and health students. You’ll play a key role in preparing teaching spaces, maintaining equipment and ensuring laboratories operate safely and efficiently.

What you’ll do

  • Provide day-to-day technical support for teaching activities

  • Prepare, maintain and assist with minor repairs of laboratory equipment

  • Ensure teaching facilities meet safety and hygiene requirements

  • Promote and uphold strong Workplace Health & Safety practices

  • Support a positive and practical learning experience for students

About you

You have experience working in a laboratory or technical environment and understand WHS requirements in practice. You’re organised, adaptable and enjoy supporting both staff and students in a busy teaching setting.

You’ll also hold:

  • Current First Aid Certificate

  • Queensland C Class Driver Licence

  • Blue Card (Working with Children)

  • Relevant vaccination compliance

This role may involve occasional travel across Northwest Queensland and some work outside standard hours.
