We now have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and skilled Digital Infrastructure Technician to join our Digital Service Delivery team.
- Full time continuing | 36.25hrs per week
- Based at our Bebegu Yumba campus in Townsville
- HEWL 5: $76,633 - $86,920 plus up to 17% employer superannuation contributions, and a 2.75% pay increase from December 31, 2025
WHAT YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH IN THE ROLE
The Digital Infrastructure Technician provides operational support for JCU’s diverse network, including LAN, WAN and WLAN, and provides technical support to resolve issues, ensuring customer needs are met and quality performance outcomes are achieved. Ensuring the JCU network infrastructure and physical networking assets are operational and functional across all JCU campuses to meet the operational needs of the University.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
- Degree qualifications or a combination of relevant experience and education.
- Qualifications and experience in line with the appropriate Higher Education Worker Level as provided in the Enterprise Agreement.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting LAN and wireless technologies in large complex enterprise environments, and the ability to further develop into all required areas.
- Demonstrated well-developed communication, interpersonal and customer service skills with proven ability to maintain highly effective working relationships and achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills relating to complex IP network environments with the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
- Demonstrated computer literacy with proficiency in a range of software packages and an ability to adapt to other desktop software quickly.
